We have another employee spotlight post for you today! This time, we’re shining the spotlight on our Junior Audio Designer, James D. Reeve… 🔊 Starting out as a touring musician and tutor, James later discovered game audio design during his Music Technology degree at the University of West London and never looked back. Now a junior audio designer here at Lighthouse Games, he brings creativity, technical skill, and collaboration to the team. 🛠️ His toolkit includes Wwise, Unreal Engine, FMOD, Unity, and Reaper, to name a few – a great mix of tools to help James’ passion for creative storytelling and narrative building. 🎮 Outside of work, James loves to write about video games and has a passion for automotive and autosport journalism! He’s also collaborated with Altered FX on cinematic sound for Call of Duty: Warzone and Mobile, plus more. James has been an incredible addition to the team, and speaking of additions, we’re hiring! We currently have multiple open roles on our careers page, and we are thrilled to announce that graduate roles in various disciplines will be opening soon, so stay tuned! ✨ It was also great to connect with faculty members to discuss potential collaborations. We recently had Paul Murphy and Jacob Rand representing Lighthouse Games at the University of Staffordshire’s Mock Interview Scheme! A fantastic initiative giving students real-world interview experience and valuable feedback. #CareersInGames #MockInterviews #Hiring
Here at the University of Staffordshire we have just concluded another round of our TIGA award-winning Mock Interview scheme. This year we hosted 360 interviews with 60 industry professionals from 17 companies. This scheme sees us working with our industry partners to provide 1-2-1 mock interviews for our final-year game students. These interviews are designed to simulate a real interview but within a supportive learning environment. After the interview students are provided feedback on their performance, portfolio and CV. I would like to thank our industry partners who help make opportunities like this happen for our students: BULKHEAD, Codemasters, d3t, Electric Square, Flix Interactive, Kwalee, Lighthouse Games, Maverick Games, Playnetic, REALTIME, Rebellion, Red Kite Games, Sports Interactive (SI), Studio Gobo, Sumo Digital Ltd and Tanglewood Games 📽️ Video: https://lnkd.in/eKHPitSk ✉️ Article: https://lnkd.in/eQ9UUGyX 👨🎓 Check out our courses here: https://lnkd.in/ereq2DXA
